01 Categories

Categories group your catalogue for shoppers. In “Products”, press “Categories”.

Press “New category”, give it a “Name”, and choose a “Parent category” to nest it, or leave it at the top level.

Press “Create”. On your storefront, a “Collection” section can show any category by its name.

Later, “+ Sub” adds a sub-category straight under one you already have, and “Edit” renames or moves it.

02 Photos

To work on a product, press “Edit” on its card.

Under “Product images”, add more photos. The first is the cover: the star makes any photo the cover, and the arrows reorder them.

The “Library” tile adds an image you already have in your media library, without uploading it again. “Add product” has it too, next to “Upload”.

For more room, “Open full editor” opens the same product on a full page.

03 The media library

Every image you upload, on a product, in the page builder or here, is kept in “Media library” under Catalog, on every plan. Drop more images on the box to add them.

Search by file name or alt text, or filter by type. Select an image to see its details, then type its “Alt text” and press “Save alt text”.

“Where it is used” lists each page, product and collection that shows it. “Delete image” only works once nothing uses it, so no page loses a picture.

In the page builder, each image field has a “Library” button: select an image and press “Use image”. On a product, the “Library” tile next to “Add” does the same.

It also keeps MP4 and WebM videos up to 9 MB for the page builder’s Video section. A video shows as an icon: select it and press “Open the video” to watch it.

04 Sizes and colours: variants

Further down, open “Variants”. An option is one way a product varies, such as size or colour.

Press “+ Add another option” and name it Size. Then type each value and press Enter: small, medium and large.

Press the “Generate” button: one variant for each size, three in all.

Each variant has its own “SKU”, “Price”, “Sale” price and “Stock”. Then press “Save changes”.

05 Stock

On the Growth plan and above, “Inventory” shows every product’s stock, marked “Low” or “Out” against your “Low-stock threshold”.

To restock, press “Adjust”, enter a “Change” such as plus ten, and add a “Reason (optional)”.

Press “Apply”. Every change is listed under “Recent changes”, so you can always see why a number moved.

If you keep stock in more than one place, “Stock by location” splits each count across your shops and warehouses.

06 Import a catalogue

To bring in a whole catalogue, open the importer at dashboard.bestwebby.com/products/import. Choose your “CSV file” and press “Preview & map columns”.

Under “Map columns”, match each column of your file to a product field. A Shopify product export is recognised on its own.

Choose what happens to products you already have under “Duplicate handling”, then press the “Import” button.

New products arrive as drafts, so nothing reaches your store until you publish it.

To pull products from a Shopify store instead, open “Marketplace sync” and pick Shopify. Paste the “Client ID” and “Client secret” of a Dev Dashboard app installed on that store.

That sync brings each product with its main price only. To move sizes and colours too, use a Shopify CSV export. Next: theme and brand.

« Where it is used » liste chaque page, produit et collection qui l’affiche.
